One of the benefits of working to grow our green economy is that opportunities tend to present themselves through our day-to-day work. One such recent opportunity for Clean was to participate in this year’s Fortune Brainstorm: Green. I was thrilled to be invited as a delegate of the event. Brainstorm: Green featured panels on topics such as consumption, green jobs, climate accounting and smart grids. Personally, I was most excited by specific presenters, including Van Jones, now Special Advisor at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and President Bill Clinton, who elaborated on the work of his foundation and on greening our economy. Clean was also able to participate in Brainstorm: Green in support of our client, NewPage. Newpage, a Gold Sponsor of the 3-day event, is also the sponsor of the On Paper podcast series. On Paper was able to capture interviews with key panelists and delegates, including Paul Hawken, author and entrepreneur; Ray Anderson, Interface; Glen Prickett, Conservation Intl.; and Lorie Wigle, Intel. All On Paper episodes recorded at Fortune Brainstorm: Green will be released at onpaperseries.com throughout the summer. I encourage you to visit the site or to subscribe to the series via iTunes. These discussions center on how organizations are tackling sustainability, its challenges and many of the issues associated with change. To find out more about our experiences at Brainstorm: Green or how to participate in the On Paper series, please feel free to contact us at Clean. Sincerely, Seri McClendon

This past week, Clean wrapped production on the Season I finale of On Paper , a podcast series focused on sustainability and sponsored by NewPage . The series is quickly pushing 500,000 listens with the inclusion of our conversation with Pat Connolly, Executive Vice President and ChiefMarketing Officer for Williams-Sonoma.
The series' success is largely based on the pragmatic approach, and caliber, of our guests. For On Paper, thought leaders, representing a variety of well-known brands, share their own approaches to and philosophies on corporate sustainability tactics.

You can currently find the complete first season at Paper Tells A Story and iTunes .
We love the new book Hot, Flat and Crowded from multi-Pulitzer-winning journalist Thomas Friedman.
